Wednesday Slot 3Sustainable Universities – A systematic Living Lab approach to combine research, education and campus operations
27 September 2017, by Tobias Wegener
Dr. Leendert Verhoef, TU Delft (Netherlands) and Julie Newman, MIT Boston (USA) led a workshop about a systematic Living Lab approach to combine research activities. The participators had to answer the question “What do you want to learn from other universities?” in a table discussion. After the discussion part they gave a feedback to the plenary. The video shows the beginning of the feedback round.
Conferences like HSDS are important for networking. It brings people together about a common topic, who didn’t know each other before even though they might be working at the same university. One example shows this effect: During the group discussion three participants introduced themselves and suddenly realised that they are in fact from the same place. All of them are working on sustainability in different disciplines at the same university.
