The second conference day has come to an end and we have asked participants of the conference: What was your personal highlight of the first day?

“I really liked the presentation 'A to Z of Sustainability: integrating ESD into formal and informal curriculum in the UK'. At first I was a little sceptical, because the organisation of the National Union of Students in the UK is very different from ours, but I am convinced that we will be able to implement some aspects in Germany. For example, they made a hashtag campaign to collect ideas of how students think sustainability could be integrated in their curriculum.”

“I have been collecting many ideas, tools and different experiences about how to implement sustainability in higher education institutions. This is a very big opportunity for us as a Latin American country. We approach this topic from a very different position, because we have other kinds of issues that are very different from the European issues. But it is still great to be here learning about new ideas which I will definitely share with my colleagues, students and fellow researchers when I go back to Chile.”

“What i generally like about this conference is that there is a lot of variety and a lot of choice for the participants, so I really like this module concept of being able to choose a session. Today my highlight was the keynote in the morning actually, which was about the living lab approach which is similar to what I am working about.”
